TORONTO – xwave has been named Company of the Year at the Canadian Health Informatics Awards. The Awards are an annual black-tie event held to honour contributions made to health informatics in Canada. This year’s gala took place November 16th at the Arcadian Court in downtown Toronto, and was co-hosted by the
Canadian Healthcare Information Technology Trade Association (CHITTA) and
Canada`s Health Informatics Association (COACH).
The Company of the Year award recognizes a distinguished healthcare information and communications technology (ICT) organization that has demonstrated excellence in the Canadian health informatics industry within the past 12 months. Through this award, client organizations and business partners have the opportunity to nominate private-sector companies that have excelled in corporate initiatives and client satisfaction while delivering exceptional quality of service.
Accepting the award on
xwave’s behalf was Paula Hatty, Account Manager for Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation (AHSC). In addition to acknowledging the talent of her
xwave Healthcare colleagues, Paula spoke of the privilege of partnering with healthcare clients and the role they play in the organization’s success.
She specifically thanked AHSC which nominated
xwave for the award.
xwave is currently in year 6 of a 10-year outsource agreement with AHSC, and provides the 13-site facility with end-to-end ICT services and support. In his nomination, Derrick Jardine, AHSC’s Chief Information Officer, cited factors such as technical expertise, contract flexibility, a consistent surpassing of service level agreements, and a willingness to work with external vendors.
